RESUMO

Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of postauricular island flap in reconstruction of anterior auricular defect. Methods:Twelve patients with auricular tumors were retrospectively analyzed in the Department of Aesthetic Plastic and Craniofacial Surgery, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University. After the tumors were completely removed, the skin defects were repaired with retroauricular island flaps, and the clinical results of the flaps were observed. Results:All the twelve postauricular island flaps were survived postoperatively. One of the flaps had the disorder of blood supply. After puncture with the needle, the congestion was drained out and the flap survived finally. During 1 to 2 years' follow-up, all patients were well satisfied with the surgical results. Conclusions:The posterior auricular island flap in reconstruction of anterior auricular defect has the advantages of simple and easy operation, high survival rate, small scar in the donor area and good aesthetic effect, which is worthy of clinical promotion.

RESUMO

To study phenylpropanoids from Eleocharis dulcis and their hepatoprotective activities. The compounds were separated and purified from ethyl acetate part by conventional column chromatography and preparative liquid chromatography, and their structures were identified by various spectral techniques. The HL-7702 cells damage model of hepatocytes induced by APAP was used to screen and evaluate the hepatoprotective activities of these compounds. Sixteen compounds were isolated from ethyl acetate part of E. dulcis, and their structures were identified as 6'-(4″-hydroxy-3″-methoxy-phenylpropenyl)-1-(10-methoxy-phenylacetone)-1'-O-β-D-glucopy-ranoside(1), susaroyside A(2), clausenaglycoside B(3), clausenaglycoside C(4), clausenaglycoside D(5), emarginone A(6), emarginone B(7), thoreliin B(8), 4-O-(1',3'-dihydroxypropan-2'-yl)-dihydroconiferyl alcohol 9-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(9), 2-[4-(3-methoxy-1-propenyl)-2-methoxy-phenoxy]-propane-1,3-diol(10), 6'-O-(E-cinnamoyl)-coniferin(11), methyl 3-(2-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-3,4,5,6-tetramethoxyphenyl) propanoate(12), clausenaglycoside A(13), 9-O-(E-cinnamoyl)-coniferin(14), 6'-O-(E-cinnamoyl)-syringin(15), 2'-O-(E-cinnamoyl)-syringin(16). Among them, compound 1 was a new compound. Compounds 2-16 were isolated from this plant for the first time. Among them, compounds 2 and 8 showed certain hepatoprotective activities.

RESUMO

Objective: To investigate the underlying mechanisms and intracellular signaling of up-regulating adenosine triphosphate binding cassette transporter A1 (ABCA1) by interleukin-17A (IL-17) in macrophages. Methods: Mouse RAW264.7 cells were treated with 20ng/mL of IL-17A. The protein expressions of ABCA1 and p-p38MAPK were detected using Western blot. The ubiquitination level of ABCA1 was detected using Co-immunoprecipitation. Results: IL-17A increased the expression of ABCA1 at the protein level, but not at the mRNA level. IL-17A reduced the degradation of ABCA1 protein. IL-17A attenuated binding of ABCA1 to ubiquitin. SB203580, p38MAPK inhibitor, reversed the decrease of ubiquitination and increased expression of ABCA1 protein induced by IL-17A in macrophages. Conclusion: IL-17A increases the expression of ABCA1 protein by inhibiting its degradation through p38MAPK pathway in macrophages.

RESUMO

Objective To investigate the value of intravoxel incoherent motion DWI (IVIM-DWI) in differential diagnosis of high-grade gliomas and brain metastases. Methods Conventional MRI,contrast-enhanced MRI and IVIM-DWI were performed before surgery or chemoradiotherapy in 24 patients with high-grade gliomas and 28 patients with brain metastases. The diffusion constant (D),pseudodiffusion coefficient of perfusion (D*) and the perfusion fraction (f) in the parenchyma and peritumoral edema region within 1 cm and the normal centrum semiovale in the opposite side were measured, then the relative values of all parameters in each region (rD*,rD,rf) were calculated.Independent sample t test was used to analyze the parameters.ROC curve analysis of the parameters statistically different between high grade gliomas and brain metastases were performed, and the diagnostic efficacies were evaluated. Results The D* and rD* values of tumor parenchyma and in peritumoral edema within 1 cm of high-grade gliomas were higher than those of brain metastases (all P<0.05).The f and rf values of tumor parenchyma and in peritumoral edema within 1 cm of highgrade gliomas were lower than those of brain metastases (all P<0.01).The AUC of D* value in peritumoral edema within 1 cm was the highest, but there was no statistically different between any two AUC except the rD* value of peritumoral edema within 1 cm (P =0.033).Conclusion IVIM-DWI can distinguish the differences of diffusion and perfusion information in parenchyma and edema area between high-grade gliomas and brain metastases, therefore providing the basis for differential diagnosis of them.

RESUMO

WU Xiao-ren devoted his whole life into acupuncture practice and education. During his 50 years clinical practice, teaching and researching, he focused on standardization and application of acupuncture manipulations. Through the integration of western and Chinese medicine as well as technique innovation, he developed new therapies for hypertension, stroke and various pain syndromes with the combination of acupuncture and materia medica and various acupoint prescription. He was against parochial prejudice by advocating absorption of others successful experiences and integration of different schools. Moreover, being conscientious and meticulous, WU Xiao-ren was always strict with his followers. He set up examples for his students with both precept and practice, and made great contribution to the inheritance of both acupuncture theory and practice.

RESUMO

AIM@#To observe the anti-oxidative activity and adverse laxative effect of raw, traditional processed and fermented products of Polygoni Multiflori Radix (PMR), and furthermore, to evaluate the fermentation method used in the processing procedure of PMR.@*METHODS@#In vitro ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) assay was carried out to evaluate the anti-oxidative activity. Modulation of normal defecation and effect on gastrointestinal motility in mice were carried out to investigate their adverse laxative effect.@*RESULTS@#Fermented PMR induced less severe laxative adverse effect than Polygoni Multiflori Radix Praeparata (PMRP). PMR fermented with Rhizopus sp. (FB) could modulate the defecation significantly. The gastrointestinal motility was inhibited by PMRP and PMR fermented with Rhizopus oryzae (FA). FA and FB showed better antioxidant activity than PMRP in 50% and 95% ethanol group. Contents of 2, 3, 5, 4'-tetrahydroxy-stilbene-2-O-β-D-glucoside (TSG) were reduced significantly after traditional processing but maintained after fermentation. Emodin and physcion were increased after traditional processing and fermented with Rhizopus oryzae.@*CONCLUSION@#All processing procedure, including fermentation, might reduce its anti-oxidative activity. However, most of the processed products could lessen the adverse effect on gastrointestinal tract compared to PMR. Fermentation with Rhizopus oryzae was considered as a promising processing method of PMR.

RESUMO

Cytotoxic T cell (CTL) covers several subtypes, which are CD8+, CD4 and CD4-CD8-. CTL derives from T cell repertoire in lymphoid hematopoietic stem cells. It matures in thymus and is activated in peripheral lymphoid tissues. Effector CTL kills the target cells by 2 ways. One is apoptotic effect mediated by FasL-Fas pathway and the other one is cytolytic effect mediated by granzymes. CTL has aroused great attention due to its significance in anti-tumor and anti-virus.
